Our Work
Wax Wings is a new and developing theatre company with big plans for the future. Working with both original text and preexisting work.
Anne

She is being haunted. The lady with no head simply won’t leave her alone. He has had enough of it, these women and their silly delusions, am I right? But perhaps the headless woman is trying to tell Her something, maybe the dreams and visions that seem to take up more and more of Her reality aren’t something to be disregarded. What if; ‘history repeats itself’ is a phrase that should be taken more literally?
Anne is an original abstract piece written by our Creative Director Madeleine-Grace Brown.
Anne premiered in Bath's Festival, Sparkfest on 30th May 2025.
The Tragedy of Julius Caesar
"Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears."
God is king but Caesar rules. Step into a brilliantly reimagined world of Shakespeare's classic.
Set deep in the bowels of the Catholic Church, we find an almighty Caesar preaching to the masses, but his pulpit is unsteady and his fellow church members recoil at his forward-thinking teachings.
Watch Cassius, the snake in the garden, build his traitorous army against Rome’s Saint until the only thing left between outright war and peace is Brutus’ weak conscience.
Morality and consequences are the last thing on anyone’s mind in this holy place. In Shakespeare’s original script, follow this old story down a new path.
Performing on the 6th and 7th of February 2026 at The Mission Theatre in Bath.
